A new version of the children's show "Teletubbies" has been revealed - complete with touch screens on the characters' stomachs.

Almost 20 years after Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po made their debut, the show is returning to entertain today's toddlers.

The characters' touch screens will show live action films from a child's perspective.

The original show was launched in 1997, and gained popularity with a billion children around the world.

But co-creator Anne Wood says she will not watch the new show; "People feel safer remaking hits of the past rather than inveseting in something new," she said.

Wood sold the rights to the show to raise money to make new children's programs.
