Korea's 'Insta in my hand' craze hits Japan

Korea’s “Insta in my hand” social media fad has spread to Japanese teenagers.

More Japanese high school students are now posting photos in line with the craze, a media outlet has reported.

Users share photos that look like they are holding a transparent smartphone with an Instagram mobile webpage on the screen.

A graphic tool app allows them to modify a photo their hand and combine it with a screen shot of the Instagram mobile webpage.

K-pop singer Key, from boy band SHINee, started the craze earlier this month. He shared the image online and Japanese teens quickly got the drift.

The students have taken the craze a step further with “Twitter in my hand” by using the same app.
