Hair-raising clip shows 100 years of Korean beauty

An online video showing Korean women’s beauty trends from 1910 is hair-raising to say the least.

In “100 Years of Beauty - Episode 4: Korea”, posted on YouTube channel Cut Video, model Tiffany Lee demonstrates the changes in makeup and hairstyles in a rapid-fire way.

The 90-second video shows a crew of make-up artists and hairstylists working on her as the model’s look changes to reflect the fashion down the decades.

The video splits into two screens when it reaches 1950s, when the Korean War broke out and divided the nation.

The history lesson ends in 2010.
