'Penis' sculpture shocks Kiwis

A New Zealand city council is under fire over a sky-high public sculpture that looks like a giant penis.

The aluminum mesh sculpture, “Transit Cloud”, hangs above Auckland’s New Lynn railway station. The council told the Huffington Post it was not supposed to look like a penis.

Sculptor Gregor Kegar, artist Sarah Hughes and architect David Popadich built the piece. It cost $156,280.

Kegar said the sculpture would look better when it was lit with neon lights.
