Tiger released by Russian president spotted feasting on 'pet' dog

Online communities saw a video recording of a tiger released to the wild by Russian President Vladimir Putin feasting on a “pet” dog near Russia-China border, Saturday.

Named Kuzya, one of three Siberian tigers tagged with a global positioning system locator and released in 2010 by the President in a remote part of the Russian region of Amur, bites off the canine’s head in the middle of what appears to be an unpaved rural road.

A species facing extinction, Kuzya reportedly entered Heilongjiang Province in China in mid October after release, according to a local online vernacular Sunday.
