New 'condom' covers entire pelvic region

A new product that claims to reduce skin-to-skin contact during sex is turning heads because it appears to cover a man’s entire pelvic region.

Called the Scroguard, the product claims to be the solution for “casual sex partners and committed couples who want peace of mind.” However, the product comes with the disclaimer that it has not been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The product has the appearance of a pair of underwear, except that is made from latex and includes an opening in the front. The company says it is intended for use in conjunction with a condom, but adds the product is not a medical device.

One Scroguard sells for $19 on the company website.

Addison Sears-Collins, the cofounder of the product, told the Huffington Post that product would be popular among people who want an “extra layer of security.”
