Police in Japan are investigating on vandalism at the disputed Yasukuni Shrine after one of its pillars were found scribbled with Korean expletives, the Sankei Shimbun reported Wednesday.
According to the newspaper, the expletive was marked on the left pillar of one of the shrine’s gated entrances.
The controversial Shinto shrine has often been a target of anger from Koreans, Chinese and other Asians as it honors Japan’s war dead.
