Free food for Instagram diners

A restaurant in London will provide customers free food if they take a photo with their meal and upload it on their social accounts.

Diners who visit the Picture House pop-up restaurant, launched by food company Birds Eye, can avoid the bill by posting the pictures on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #BirdsEyeInspirations.

Birds Eye said the marketing idea was inspired by data that showed that more than 50 percent of diners photograph their meals. Currently, there are more than 90 million photos on Instagram hashtagged ``food.’’

After its grand opening in London, the restaurant plans to head to Manchester and Leeds next month.
