Six family members were killed by a game-addicted Chinese man who pilfered thier household to steal some big bucks.
Chinese police said a Guangzhou man arrested in April for slaughtering entire family committed the crime only for money to get an item for a game he was intoxicated with.
According to Kookmin Ilbo Monday, the criminal sneaked into the victims’ home from the rooftop of a 23-story building by climbing down a pipeline to the 22nd floor.
He first intended to steal money without getting noticed by the tenants. But as his plan was foiled by alarming one of the family members, the clash developed into killing all who lived there, including two children age two and five.
The criminal stole from the household 6,000 yuan (1 million won), gold bracelets and bank cards.
The report said the man was caught only four days after the crime.
