Ghostly figure spotted in family photos

A figure of a ghostly Victorian girl was found in photos taken by a family at the Castle Museum in York, said the Daily Mail Tuesday.

John Burnside and Shona Backhouse, along with their son Johnthomas, paid a visit to the Castle Museum in York two years ago.

They were flipping back at the photos they took that day until they realized a black and white ghostly figure lurking in the photos. The ghost, suspected to be a little girl, stood in the back wearing a Victorian dress.

“It gives me goose bumps every time I think about it,” said Burnside.

Meanwhile, there have been claims in the past that Castle Museum is haunted.

A filming crew insisted that they had heard shrill voices and have seen ghostly children running around when they were filming for a program in 2006.
