A Chinese prostitute running away from the eyes of police trying to eradicate prostitutes in Nanning, China, eventually climbed up a tree and refused to go down for three hours.
The fugitive was later found out to be a man dressed in women’s clothing, according to the local media.
The incident occurred when Chinese officials were inspecting the red light district in Nanning, as a reaction to the local media reporting that the number of street workers was exponentially increasing.
After rounding up a number of women, the Chinese police were shocked to see a seemingly super-strong prostitute evading the scene, sprinting off and climbing up a tree before three officers chased her. She came down after three hours.
“She did not run like a woman. While asking for her ID, the officers could see her powerful arms and protruding Adam’s apple,” said police spokesman Kuan-Yin Tsai.
He further explained how three of the 33 women arrested that night actually turned out to be ladyboys.
