Sydney V. Smith admits she wants to become a “giraffe woman” just for her 11-inch-long neck.
According to the Huffington Post, the 28-year-old woman from Los Angeles has extended her neck with 11 copper rings starting from 2011.
“I’ve always had a long neck,” said Smith. “In middle school, they used to call me a giraffe girl,” she added.
Smith’s fascination with a long neck has been inspired by watching the long-necked tribes in Thailand and Burma on the network National Geographic.
In 2011, Smith’s neck muscles had a hard time supporting her head. However, she continued her signature and now she is thinking of getting a 12th ring.
