McDonald’s may be your favorite quick service outlet but it seems to be having its share of run-ins with its customers all over the place.
The latest question is does McDonald’s hate senior citizens?
One latest incident involved a senior couple in their 80s in Virginia who were asked to empty one of the premises for no other reason than the fact that they stayed too long.
The development occurred when 87-year-old Carl Becker and 81-year-old Barbara Becker visited a McDonald’s outlet they have been frequenting for several decades.
Having placed their order, they waited for 30 minutes, only to be told to leave the premises because they had been there for more than half an hour and that the store needed to be cleaned.
The couple was puzzled since they were waiting for their order to come through and it was the first time ever that there was a time limitation of 30 minutes.
The couple said they were angry over the fact that they were being treated the way though they had been steady customers for decades.
The media which were contacted to cover the development looked around the premises and failed to find any notices saying that customers must leave the store in half an hour.
McDonald’s has increasingly been involved in confrontation with customers, one of them being a run-in with elderly Koreans who allegedly overstayed their welcome at an outlet in Flushing, New York.
In yet another case, an African American man sued McDonald’s for $1.5 million for providing only one piece of paper napkin in a store in California with the staff refusing to provide additional napkins when asked.
