How athletes actually take doping tests 'Forget privacy'

A rare footage on how athletes actually take doping tests showed how “embarrassing” it must be for both the testers and athletes, reports said Sunday.

Australian Sports Anti-Doping Agency recently released a photo capturing a moment where an athlete is taking the test. In the photo is a blond woman peeing while a staff is standing in front of her and watching her tending to her business.

The Australian agency stipulates in its urine test regulations that the staff carefully monitors the subject peeing with his/her own eyes.

What adds to such blush-striking transparency in filtering suspects is that athletes must not cover their between-navel-and-knee areas with any clothes.

This is to prevent the athletes from taking any possible action deemed illegal in proving dope-free.

According to the agency, all athletes participating in the test are informed about the whole procedure prior to the tests. The staffs who accompany the athletes must share the same gender as well.
