'Cannibal Cop': Cameron Diaz is to blame for blind penchant for bondage

NYPD’s so-called “Cannibal Cop” Gilberto Valle, 28, said he developed his dark sexual fantasies due to the movie "The Mask" in which Cameron Diaz appeared abducted in bondages.

He spent the rest of his life being aroused by thoughts of abducting and tying up women, his lawyer said.

The scene in question is understood to be the moment Cameron Diaz is tied to a coconut tree, with a ticking time bomb placed at her feet.

The 1994 Jim Carrey comedy was released when Valle was just 12.

The arousal “appears to have originated with a scene in the move, ‘The Mask,’ in which Cameron Diaz pretends to be abducted and bound,” Valle's lawyer Julia Gatto said in court papers filed Wednesday.

The NYPD officer is charged with plotting to abduct, rape, cook and eat a hundred women with conspirators he met through an online fetish website.

According to his court filling, he discovered porn in high school and was particularly interested in bondage websites.

But his taste for "cannibalism pornography" didn't develop until his sophomore year of college, when he found pornographic DVDs that was rented by his roommates.
