Plucky gull attacks eagle in Norway
By Yoon Ye-seul
A common gull launches an attack on a white-tailed Sea Eagle, which is a rare case as it is believed that the predatory bird is easily able to kill the gull.
The courageous bird swooped down over the unsuspecting eagle and tackled “the king of the sky” in Norway, reported the Daily Mail on Wednesday.
This sighting was taken in photo by Markus Varesvuo, 45, who specializes in taking birds pictures. The gull managed to steal some of the eagle's feathers before making its escape, according to the paper.
“Careful preparation is the key to successful shots,” said the Finnish photographer. “At worst, I sit doing nothing for days, when the birds never come.”
“The gull is very brave,” “The bird proves that the weak can do everything if they have courage” and “Not all the eagles are strong,” are a few among comments by netizens.
