Korean netizens lament Steve Jobs’ death

Korean netizens have lamented the fall of the IT icon when Apple Inc. announced Thursday that its co-founder Steve P. Jobs died of cancer.

Numerous netizens have uploaded messages on the Internet, on Jobs who has led the new era of personal computers. A lot of videos and pictures have also been spreading out quickly through Social Network Service (SNS) such as Twitter.

“It is definitely sure that Mr. Jobs was the best icon of the times. He was a brilliant executive as well as an innovative visionary. He pushed forward his creative idea and concept based on reality,” said a twitter, whose ID is “hico****.”

“I think Steve Jobs’ life is a good example of the perfect life of human being. Starting from the bottom, he reached the top in his field,” said another twitter, showing respect of his accomplishment.

Many celebrities and officials of the IT industries have also expressed condolences.

“Steve Jobs passed away. I commemorate him, thinking ‘Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish,’” said Cho Guk, law professor at the law school of Seoul National University on his twitter.

“I feel one era has come to an end, but his legacy will remain,” said Ahnlab_man, an official twitter of Ahn Cheol-su Laboratory.
