Mexican claims to have captured a real fairy to be a liar

A Mexican bricklayer claims to have spotted a real fairy. And Jose Maldonado, 22, can prove it, because he managed to capture the fairy in formaldehyde and is now offering to show it to people.

The story has gripped residents of Guadalajara, with many queuing for up to 3 hours at a time to spend just a short period in the presence of the fairy. In a video, Maldonado’s mother can be seen trying to deal with the fairy crowds.

A few cynical souls have claimed that the ‘fairy’ looks quite like a popular toy sold across Mexico. But surely that’s a bit mean. Why try to spoil the fun of all these people who want to queue up and spend a few minutes in the company of a miraculous creature that has been killed and suspended in a noxious chemical?
