Eccentric auction with vampires(?) heart

A seller ID ‘propnomiconx’ in Mohawk, New York, recently put a mummified vampire’s heart in a box of oak with a detailed explanation on the online market, eBay.

On the top of the box, a biography of the vampire was written. The name was Auguste Delagrange, killed by a Roman Catholic Priest and Voodoo priest in 1912.

The seller kept talking big. He said the vampire killed 40 people in 1990s, and the stake at the heart was that in the middle of the heart. These specific explanations made people credible.

However, the seller confessed soon the heart was made by a beef jerky and wax. He added although it was not a real vampire’s one, it looks and feels like a real heart.

Meanwhile, the price shot up to $630 (720,000won) Tuesday morning from $259 (250,000won) last Friday as 27 bidders participated in the auction.

별난 경매- 뱀파이어의 심장 팔아

미국 뉴욕 주 모호크 지역의 판매자인 아이디 ‘propnomiconx’가 지난 금요일 참나무 상자에 담긴 뱀파이어의 심장을 온라인 쇼핑몰 ‘이베이’ 에 매물로 내놓았다.

상자의 윗부분에는 뱀파이어의 일대기가 적혀져 있었다. 이름은 오거스트 델라그랜스 였으며 로만 카톨릭 사제와 부두교인 에게 잡혀 1912년 살해되었다고 한다.

판매자의 허풍은 끊이지 않았다. 뱀파이어 오거스트 델라그랜스는 1990년대 40명의 사람을 죽였으며 같이 들어있던 말뚝은 심장 한가운데 박혔던 것이라고 전했다.

하지만 곧 판매자 는 그 심장은 마른 소고기 육포와 왁스로 만든 것 이라고 고백했다. 진짜 뱀파이어의 심장은 아니지만, 외형과 촉감은 진짜처럼 느껴진다고 덧붙였다.

한편, 지난 금요일 경매가가 $259(약29만원)이였던 것이 27명이 입찰한 14일 오전 $630 (약 72만원) 까지 올라갔다.
