Koreans rank top in Face World Match

Koreans swept both Miss and Mister World of Face.

Mobile phone payment technology service provider Danal said Wednesday Koreans were selected for the ideal man and woman in the iphone application “Face World Match”.

The match was run as a tournament in which those who get the largest number of votes from netizens worldwide survive. After the ranking and the number of the followers were combined, Ms. Kim Chang-jo (21/ ID:CJ) and Mr. Lee Han-kook (21/ ID: cocuno) won the “Hot Face” for receiving the highest number of votes from the 150,000 application users.

Looking like a doll with long straight hair, Kim is a college student in Busan. Lee, with gentle eyes and a sharp nose, is a model in Gwangju.

“Many Koreans are already the users of the application, and it’s an honor both Miss and Mister Hot Faces are won by Koreans,” said an official from Danal. “The application is a great hit with the messages exchanged among the users already reaching up around one million.”

Meanwhile, after checking out the pictures and profiles of the men and women participating in the match, the application users attempt a talk with the one they are interested in through messenger.

한국인 남녀가 세계 최고의 ‘얼짱’으로 뽑혔다.

휴대폰결제업체 다날은 27일 아이폰 어플리케이션 ‘페이스월드매치(Face World Match)’에서 한국인 남녀가 전 세계 이상형 1위를 차지했다고 밝혔다. 페이스월드매치는 전 세계 일반인들이 참여하는 이상형월드컵이다. 토너먼트 방식의 게임을 통해 나만의 이상형을 찾는 어플리케이션이다.

전 세계 서비스 이용자 15만 명 가운데 랭킹과 팔로어(follower) 수 등을 종합적으로 합산해 가장 많은 인기를 얻은 남녀를 ‘핫페이스’(Hot Face)로 선정했다. 제1대 ‘핫페이스’로 여성은 김창조(21•ID CJ). 남성은 이한국씨(23•ID cocuno)가 각각 1위를 차지했다. 인형 같은 마스크와 긴 생머리가 매력적인 김씨는 부산에 사는 대학생. 서글서글한 눈과 오똑한 코의 이한국씨는 광주에서 모델로 활동하고 있다.

다날 관계자는 “이상형 월드컵에 익숙한 한국 유저들이 대거 참여하고 있고 핫페이스 역시 한국인이 차지했다”며 “마음에 드는 이상형과 주고받은 메시지도 벌써 100만 건에 이를 정도로 사용자들의 반응이 뜨겁다”고 말했다.

한편 페이스월드매치에서는 현재 세계 톱 랭킹을 기록하고 있는 남•녀의 사진과 프로필을 확인하고, 마음에 드는 이상형과 메신저를 통해 대화를 나눌 수 있다.
