$1 million strip naked before President Obama

A man abruptly stripped naked during an election campaign rally attended by President Barak Obama in Pennsylvania.

CBS News reported Monday that a man passed naked by President Obama who he was talking with supporters before campaigning for the Democrat candidate in the mid-term election in Philadelphia, Penn., Sunday.

The person in question was Juan Rodriquez, 24. He was dressed in his birthday suit with Alki David’s web-cam site, “battlecam.com!” written on his chest.

He dared to do such an extraordinary thing to win $1 million (about 1,126 million won) in prize.

Billionaire Alki David, business tycoon in transportation and bottling, made an offer last August on his website to pay anyone $1 million if they streaked in front of President Obama.

Requirements to win the $1 million include being naked with David's web-cam website, battlecam.com written on his chest; and shouting "battlecam.com!" six times.

And that it should be done within earshot and the eyesight of the President.

David promised that he would pay the money to Rodriquez now under detention after being arrested at the scene if he is confirmed to have streaked in front of Obama.

Battlecam.com! gives prize money to the video works of netizens that are those viewed the most throughout the world.

Meanwhile, a book from among the audience was seen flying through the air when Obama was waving and greeting on the podium after completing the election campaigning for Democratic candidate in the mid-term election.

Fortunately, there was no harm done to anyone as the book passed to his left.

CBS뉴스는 오바마 대통령이 휴일인 10일(현지시간) 펜실베이니아주 필라델피아에서 중간 선거 지원 유세에 나서기 전 지지자들과 얘기하던 중 한 사내가 알몸으로 앞을 지나가는 황당한 일이 벌어졌다고 11일(현지시간) 전했다.

문제의 주인공은 후안 하메스 로드리게스(24). 그의 가슴에는 ‘배틀캠닷컴’이라는 웹사이트 이름이 적혀 있었다.

로드리게스가 이처럼 황당한 일에 나선 것은 상금 100만 달러(약 11억2600만 원)를 차지하기 위해서였다고.

운송•보틀링 업계의 거물 알키 데이비드가 오바마 대통령 앞에서 알몸으로 달리는 사람에게 내건 상금이다.

데이비드는 황당한 해프닝을 일으키거나 이를 실천에 옮기는 사람에게 돈으로 보상하는 괴짜 억만장자다.

그는 지난 8월 오바마 대통령 앞에서 벌거벗고 뛰는 사람에게 100만 달러를 상금으로 주겠다고 약속했다.

조건은 가슴에 자신이 운영하는 웹사이트인 ‘배틀캠닷컴’이라는 이름을 쓴 채 벌거벗고 뛰면서 배틀캠닷컴을 6번 외쳐야 한다는 것.

그것도 대통령이 눈과 귀로 보고 들을 수 있는 거리여야 한다.

데이비드는 현장에서 체포돼 아직 구금 상태에 있는 로드리게스가 대통령 앞에서 알몸으로 뛰었다는 게 확인되면 상금을 지급할 것이라고 약속했다.

배틀캠닷컴은 세계 전역의 비디오들을 라이브로 보여주고 네티즌들이 가장 선호하는 작품에 선정된 비디오 제출자에게 포상한다.

한편 이날 오바마 대통령이 중간 선거 지원 유세를 마치고 연단에서 청중에게 손 흔들며 인사하던 중 청중 어딘가로부터 갑자기 책이 날아드는 사건도 있었다.

다행히 책이 왼쪽으로 비켜 날아가는 바람에 별 불상사는 없었다.
