“Sexually harassed” sports reporter becomes “sexy icon”

Ines Sainz, 32, who claimed she was sexually harassed by the NFL New York Jets in their locker room, is now a rising “sexy icon.”

The U.S. daily New York Post published 21 photos of Sainz on its homepage with most of them emphasizing her body including a picture of her in a bikini. Men’s Health chose her as the “world’s hottest woman” and used her as a cover model.

Online, many are searching for her photos and TV broadcasters in the U.S. are all vying for her appearance on their show.

“I am confident about my body,” said Sainz in a TV show she was on. “When I was young, I rode horses in the mountainside and learned taekwondo. I think that helped keep me in shape.”

Her attitude and words seemed like she was enjoying the attention she was receiving. She also said she did not want to take legal action against the Jets.

“I was sexually harassed by the Jets, but I have no plans to press charges,” Sainz said.

Sainz visited the Jets’ locker room on Sept. 11 to interview quarterback Mark Sanchez, a third generation Mexican-American. Unfortunately, during the process, players of the team allegedly abused her by catcalling and shouting out inappropriate comments such as “I want to have xxx with a Mexican woman.”

북미프로풋볼(NFL) 뉴욕 제츠의 라커룸에서 선수들로부터 집단 성희롱을 당했다고 주장한 이녜스 사인즈(32)가 완전히 `섹시 스타`로 떴다.

미국 일간지 `뉴욕 포스트`는 최근 홈페이지의 포토란을 통해 약 21장의 사인즈 사진을 게재했는데 대부분은 그의 비키니 사진과 특정 신체 부위를 강조한 사진들이었다. 심지어 남성 건강잡지 `멘스 헬스`는 사인즈를 `세계에서 가장 화끈한 여성`이라고 치켜세우며 표지모델로 채택한 것으로 알려졌다.

또 네티즌들은 `섹시 이녜스 사인즈`라는 제목으로 그의 사진을 퍼나르고 있는 중이고 현지 방송사 역시 사인즈를 섭외 1순위로 올려놓으며 그를 출연시키기 위해 혈안이 되어 있다.

이에 사인즈는 한 방송에 출연해 "몸매에 자신이 있다"며 "어릴 적 산에서 말을 타고 태권도를 배운 것이 몸매 유지에 도움이 됐다"고 밝혀, 이번 스캔들로 인해 섹시 스타로 급부상 한 것이 싫지 않은 눈치였다.

이어 그는 "성희롱을 당한 것은 맞지만, 그들을 고소할 생각은 전혀 없다"며 쿨(?)한 모습을 보였다.

한편 사인즈는 지난 11일(현지시간) 제츠의 라커룸을 찾아 멕시코 출신인 쿼터백 마크 산체스를 인터뷰 할 예정이었지만 선수들에게 "멕시코 여자와 한번 xx하고 싶다" "나랑 한번 사귀어 볼래" 등 성희롱을 당했다고 주장해 미국 스포츠계에서 큰 파문이 일었다.
