Rotating solar house collect more energy

A growing rate of energy consumption due to the development in lifestyle has drawn the presumption that soon the earth will face the exhaustion of oil. Thus, initiating the application of an alternative energy in daily life is no longer an option but a must.

While many have been constantly seeking the ways to live an innovative life using the alternative energy, a new solar house designed by a German architect, Ralph Disch, is currently getting the worldwide attention.

Located in one of the well-known eco friendly cities, Freiburg, Germany, this “heliotrope” solar house was introduced through the architecture website ‘Inhabitant’ and is significantly distinguished from former solar houses in design and efficiency.

The former solar houses limit the amount of energy collected. However, this three-story solar house in cylindrical shape is considered truly revolutionary since it moves along the sun by rotating 180 degrees and collects the sufficient amount of energy moment by moment.

Another advantage of this house is its design. Entirely covered in glass and equipped with a tube directly connected to the solar collector plate on the rooftop, the house is in the near-perfect condition to fully circulate the energy it has stored. It is amazing the amount of energy produced in the house exceeds the amount consumed by five times.

In addition, greywater, (filtered water) or rain water is used in this house for drinking and cleaning.

All these features make the house deserve the title “The Best Eco House.”

빙글빙글 돌아가는 태양열 주택

독일의 건축가 랄프 디쉬가 태양열 주택 디자인에 새로운 변화를 일으켜 화제다. 태양에서 내리쬐는 열을 수동적으로 받아들이기만 했던 기존 디자인 대신 태양의 움직임에 적극 반응하는 새로운 주택 디자인을 선보인 것. 건축전문 웹사이트 <인해비타트>를 통해 소개된 이 주택은 바로 독일 프라이부르크에 세워진 ‘헬리오트롭’ 주택.

친환경적인 도시 중 최고로 손꼽히는 프라이부르크에서도 단연 명물로 꼽히는 이 주택은 태양의 움직임에 따라 건물 전체가 움직이는 회전형 주택이다. 중심축이 회전하여 움직이는 원통형 3층 구조로 시시각각 태양열을 최대한 많이 받을 수 있도록 180도 방향으로 움직인다.

옥상에 설치된 집열판은 물론 전면 유리창, 옥상 난간에서 이어지는 난방 튜브 등을 이용해 태양열을 적극 활용함으로써 오히려 여분의 에너지를 생산해내는 수준에 이르렀다. 이 주택에서 만들어지는 에너지는 자체 에너지 소비량보다 무려 5배나 많은 양이라고.

식용 이외의 생활 용수 또한 모두 그레이워터(쌀뜨물이나 세탁용수처럼 간단한 정화 과정을 거치면 재활용이 가능한 재생수)나 빗물을 사용하기 때문에 최고의 친환경주택으로 손꼽히기에 부족함이 없다.
