Woman anchor swallows mosquito during live show

Taiwanese announcer, Huang Ching, happened to swallow a mosquito while broadcasting the news live, Thursday.

After the incident, the Huang’s face turned pale and started coughing in the middle of her news cast. When the symptoms grew worse, the staff stopped the broadcast and the announcer was rushed to the hospital.

According to hospital personnel, the mosquito got caught inside her bronchial tubes, causing breathing trouble and temporary paralysis of the arms and legs.

The announcer survived the ordeal and was eventually discharged. “Even though I swallowed a mosquito, I wouldn’t want to swallow a screw,” said Huang.

Huang, a news anchor of 10 years, has gained a lot of fame through this incident, enough to be dubbed “the announcer who swallowed an insect.”

22일 대만의 한 방송국 뉴스보도 중 미모의 아나운서가 입으로 들어간 모기를 실수로 삼키는 사건이 일어났다.

얼굴이 창백해지면서 기침을 하는 동시 방송을 진행하려던 중, 상태가 심각해지자 방송국측에서 서둘러 다른 아나운서로 교체하였다.

병원으로 후송된 아나운서는, 모기가 기관지로 들어가 호흡발작을 일으켰으며, 손발이 마비가 되는 등 급히 응급실로 옮겨졌다고 전하고 있다.

‘모기 삼켜’ 유명해진 이 아나운서는 퇴원 후 “모기를 삼킬지언정 나사못을 삼키고 싶지는 않다”고 말해 주위에 웃음을 자아냈다.

아나운서 데뷔 10년이 넘는 이 미모의 아나운서는 이번 사건으로 생각지도 못한 유명세를 타게 되었으며, 대만 매체보도에서 '벼룩 삼킨 아나운서’ , '바퀴벌레 삼킨 아나운서’ 등으로 누리꾼들의 관심을 받고 있다.
