Life protector underwear

Listen

A U.S. nano technologist has invented underwear with electronic biosensor to check the health.

Joseph Wang of University of California San Diego attached biosensor on the waistband of panties which will check body signs and gives instructions what to do.

"The goal is to develop minimally invasive sensors that can locate, in the field, and identify the type of injury," Wang said. "It will monitor a wide range of biomedical markers, like cardiac markers, alerting for any potential stroke, diabetic changes and other changes related to other biomedical scenarios. It will check heart rate, blood pressure, blood alcohol levels and other vital signs. "

Wang received $1.6 million grant from the Office of Naval Research to fund this project, so it will be likely to be used in the battle field.
