The 2026 Korean baseball season will begin on the final weekend of March.

The Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) said Friday its upcoming season will start March 28 with all 10 clubs in action.

The defending Korean Series champions LG Twins will host the KT Wiz at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul. It will be a homecoming game for Kim Hyun-soo, who signed with the Wiz as a free agent only weeks after captaining the Twins to the title and earning the Korean Series MVP award.

Elsewhere, the Korean Series runners-up Hanwha Eagles will bring the Kiwoom Heroes to Daejeon Hanwha Life Ballpark in the central city of Daejeon.

The SSG Landers will play host to the Kia Tigers at Incheon SSG Landers Field in Incheon, just west of the capital city. The Samsung Lions will bring the Lotte Giants to Daegu Samsung Lions Park in the southeastern city of Daegu. In Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province, the NC Dinos will take on the Doosan Bears.

All five games will start at 2 p.m.

Teams will each play 144 games. Since 2023, teams have had 73 home games one season and 73 road games the next. For 2026, the Twins, the Lions, the Dinos, the Tigers and the Heroes will be home for 73 games and on the road for 71.

The KBO said the All-Star break will run from July 10 to 15, with the All-Star Game set to be played July 11.

In 2025, the KBO set an attendance record for the second straight season, surpassing the previous mark of 10.88 million from 2024 to reach 12.31 million. Six clubs drew over a million fans at home, led by the Lions' all-time record of 1.64 million.
