Tottenham Hotspur’s Korean forward Son Heung-min wins the goal of the month award given by fans of his English Premier club.

The Hotspur announced on their webpage, Tuesday (KST) that Son was voted the winner of the UnderArmor UK September Goal of the Month award for his second goal against Middlesbrough on Sept. 24.

During the match, the 24-year-old scored two goals helping his team to a 2-1 win with the second goal receiving the most of the votes from the fans at 41 percent.

The second-most votes also came from Son’s goal against Stoke City earlier in September. Son earned 30 percent of the vote for his team’s second goal in a 4-0 win game on Sept. 10. Including those two goals, Son netted four goals and earned one assist in his team’s three Premier League matches last month.

Christian Eriksen’s goal against Gillingham placed third with 23 percent of the vote while Dele Alli’s goal against Stoke City followed with six percent.

The Premier League included Son in a five-player shortlist for the player of the month award. For the award, Son is competing with Liverpool’s Adam Lallana, Manchaster City’s Kevin De Bruyne, Everton’s Romelu Lukaku and Arsenal’s Theo Walcott. If Son wins the award, he will be the first Asian footballer to win the honor.
