LPGA Golfer Jang Ha-na publicly wished fellow athlete Chun In-gee well on Monday after they clashed over Chun’s waist injury, which Jang’s father caused.
Arriving in Korea in Monday morning after winning the HSBC Women's Champions in Singapore, Jang said she was “sorry for Chun’s injury” and that she wished to play with her in the future.
Chun arrived at Singapore's Changi Airport on Mar.1 to take part in the championship. At the airport, Jang’s father accidentally hit Chun with his bag and she fell on an escalator, injuring her waist
Chun had to miss the tournament and reportedly had MRI scans.
Chun lashed out at Jang. “I missed the championship because of her and she didn’t give any proper apology,” she said. Jang’s aides retorted that Jang had already apologized.
The incident caused an online clash among netizens who sided with one player or the other.
