Kim Dong-hyun, better known as “Stun Gun,” fought a perfect match to beat Dominic Waters, clinching a first-round TKO at Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Fight Night Seoul, Saturday.
As expected and pledged by him, Kim overwhelmed the less experienced Waters in the short 3-minute-10-second match.
“I want Damien Maia in a title fight,” Kim said after the match. “Let’s fight here next year,” he said.
Just one minute and 10 seconds into the round, Kim took Waters down and spent the rest of the fight pounding the American.
Kim, initially scheduled to fight Jorge Masvidal, will face Benson Henderson in the night’s main event, but the inevitable shakeup of the main card gave him the chance to take on Waters (9-4-0).
