Bang takes a 2-1 split over Kuntz in UFC Fight Night Seoul

Bang Tae-hyun overcame Leo Kuntz in a 2-1 split decision at UFC Fight Night Seoul, Saturday.

The American was game throughout the fight, taking Bang down several times, but Bang managed to keep striking, and kept the fight even.

Bang took the early lead, hitting Kuntz with solid punches and pounding him to his knees.

However, Kuntz soon took control on the ground and Bang was bleeding after three minutes of the first round.

Bang did not let Kuntz take the game easily, though, and started uncorking good kicks of his own, adding solid punches and a backspin elbow, bringing blood to Kuntz as well.

While Bang had the advantage in striking, Kuntz’s continued in his efforts to make Bang submit until the first round ended.

Bang’s attempt to hold off Kuntz’ attempts at submission continued in the second round.

With 2 minutes and 20 seconds remaining in the second round, Kuntz took down Bang and began choking him. Bang managed to get out of it, though, and began pounding Kuntz with several well-placed punches.

Taking the advantage of his striking, Bang executed a guillotine choke with 3 minutes 30 seconds remaining in the third round, ending the match with a KO of Kuntz.
