Park makes Celta debut

Korea international Park Chu-young made his Spanish league debut at Celta Vigo on Sunday (KST).

Trailing Valencia FC 2-1, the 27-year-old came off the bench in the 71st minute, replacing lone striker Iago Aspas up front, but he had few chances to threaten.

Park joined Paco Herrera’s outfit earlier this month on a season-long loan from Arsenal after spending most of last season on the bench.

Newly-promoted Celta lost 2-1, after having lost three of four matches they have played since returning to the top flight.

Celta, ranked 14th, will next host 11th-placed Getafe.
