PUMA inks partnership with Busan I’Park

PUMA Korea said Tuesday that it had signed a new partnership deal with K-League outfit, Busan I’Park.
Under the agreement, the Korean unit of the global sporting goods company will provide football strips and equipment to the club and incentives in accordance with Busan’s performance in the domestic league and other events.
In this multi-year sponsorship, PUMA Korea and Busan I’Park will also discuss the launch of fan kits including replica jerseys.
“Most of all, we are extremely pleased to have agreed to this new partnership with Busan I’Park,” said Olivier Lorans, general manager at PUMA Korea.
Busan I’Park, founded in 1983, is one of the most prestigious clubs in Korea and has topped the league four times.
“Also the brand value emphasized by both companies is enjoyment, this common thing makes this partnership a perfect match. We wanted to have more of a presence in Korea, this is why we believe forming a partnership with Busan could be part of the strategy.” Lorans said.
Lee Gwang-seok, general manager at Busan I’Park said: “We share a common denominator, chasing the joy of sports with PUMA, so I wish this partnership will contribute not only to the K-league but also the growth of the Korean sports industry as a whole.”
