AS Monaco striker Park Chu-young was named the best player in November by the club, Wednesday, in recognition of his four goals in three league matches.
The South Korean won 66 percent of the fan votes for the best Red and White, a title which he has won twice previously since joining the French club in 2008.
Monaco recognized the 25-year-old as a key member of the team, even though he missed league matches after joining the South Korean Asian Games squad for two weeks in November.
The club praised Park’s performances that have seen him emerge as the team’s top-scorer this season with five in 14 league matches.
The forward found the net four times in November alone, including a stunning volley in a 2-2 draw against Girondins de Bordeaux, a goal in the 4-0 victory over AS Nancy-Lorraine, and a penalty for a 1-1 draw with OGC Nice.
Moanco also mentioned Park’s role for his country at the Asiad on its official webpage, stating “he scored four goals and won a bronze medal.”
Park previously was also named the club’s player of the month in October 2008 and December 2009.
The South Korean came in ahead of Brazilian defender Pereira Adriano and midfielder Mathieu Coutadeur of France who collected 15 and eight percent of the votes respectively.
