South Korea sustained its 44th position in the FIFA rankings for September.
FIFA revealed the September ranking Thursday (KST), indicating the nation’s ranking has not changed for three months.
Japan moved up two spots to 30th and Australia, which failed to advance to the last 16 in the World Cup in South Africa, ranked 24th, the highest among Asia Pacific nations. North Korea ranked 106th.
Meanwhile 2010 World Cup champion, Spain, despite its recent defeat in a friendly against Argentina, topped the standings while World Cup runner-up, the Netherlands were second, and Germany third ahead of Brazil.
Lionel Messi’s Argentina ranked fifth, followed by England.
