Korean football players and coaching staff will receive a total of 247 million won ($211,653) in special bonuses after finishing third at the U-20 Women's World Cup, the sport's governing body said Friday.

The squad led by coach Choi In-cheul beat Colombia 1-0 in their last match of the World Cup on Sunday to finish third, the highest ranking ever achieved by a South Korean team at a FIFA-arranged tournament.

Coach Choi will be paid 20 million won and the three assistant coaches will get 15 million won each, according to the Korea Football Association (KFA).

The KFA said the 21 footballers on the final roster will be divided into two groups according to their contributions.

The 14 top-rated players, including Silver Ball winner Ji So-yun and captain Kim Hye-ri, will earn 10 million won each, while the others will be given 6 million won.
