Gangwon Province to Nurture Ski Jumping

Gangwon Province and Kangwon Land Corp. have signed a bilateral agreement to nurture ski jumping.

According to the agreement, the company will invest 4 billion won for four years, 1 billion won for each, in the sport for training costs, purchasing equipments and running a youth ski jumping club to expand the pool of it.

In return, the local self-government whose county, PyeongChang, is bidding for the 2018 Winter Olympics, will offer the counterpart a training site for ski jumping, the newly-built Alpensia Jumping Park.

The corporation owns the High 1 ski jumping team.
