Vancouver Olympic double gold medalist Lee Jung-su pulled out of the World Short Track Championships, Friday.
According to the Korea Skating Union, Lee felt ankle soreness while training in Sofia, Bulgaria, where the competition is scheduled to be held from Friday to Sunday.
Lee hasn't trained much since winning the men's 1,500-meter and 1,000-meter events in Vancouver due to fatigue and pain.
Instead of Lee, the Korean national team has decided Kwak Yoon-gy will skate.
