Park Nets Double

A double by South Korean international Park Chu-young inspired Monaco to a 3-2 victory over Nice Saturday to extend its unbeaten run to seven league matches, AFP reported.

Park's brace, and one by Brazilian star Nene, ended a 14-year winless run against their opponents who are deep in relegation trouble having not won in their past nine games.

Park ― who Friday signed a contract extension tying him to Monaco until 2013 ― struck in the 19th minute with a header from a corner by Nene.

Nice almost grabbed an equalizer shortly before half-time as Argentinian defender Renato Civelli produced an acrobatic bicycle kick which grazed the bar.

Nice deservedly did pull level in the 54th minute as Tunisian striker Chaouki Ben Saada tapped home the goalbound effort of Ivorian international midfielder Emerson Fae.

However, Monaco scored twice in quick succession as Park scored his second in the 59th minute heading home Nene's cross shot and then the Brazilian got the goal his all-round performance deserved.

He had the option of passing to an unmarked Park in the penalty area but instead he went for goal on his own and easily shot home.

Nice reduced the deficit with 10 minutes remaining as Didier Digard fired home a stunning free kick.

With the double Park lifted its record in the French league to eight goals and three assists. If other games are included, its record would rise to nine goals.

박주영 한 경기 2골 … 시즌 8, 9호

박주영 (25.AS모나코)이 90분 풀 타임 활약을 펼치며 한 경기에 두 골을 몰아넣었다.

박주영은 30일(현지시간) 모나코 루이 2세 스타디움에서 열린 2009-2010 프랑스 프로축구 리그1 22라운드 OGC 니스와 홈 경기에서 정규리그 7, 8호 골을 연달아 터뜨려 팀의 3-2 승리에 일등 공신이 됐다.

25일 올랭피크 리옹과 프랑스컵 32강전에서 2-1을 만드는 헤딩 결승골에 이어 두 경기 연속 득점포 가동이다.

최근 정규리그에서 7연속 풀타임 활약을 펼친 박주영은 전반 19분 네네가 왼쪽에서 올린 코너킥을 골문 오른쪽 모서리를 향해 머리로 받아 넣었다.

후반 9분에 니스의 챠키 벤 사다에게 동점골을 내준 모나코는 그러나 후반 15분에 박주영의 추가 골로 다시 앞서가기 시작했다.

역시 네네가 왼쪽 측면을 돌파하다가 정면으로 찔러준 공을 달려들며 오른발로 우겨넣어 두 번째 골을 뽑아낸 것.

박주영은 이번 시즌 정규리그 전체 38라운드 가운데 절반을 조금 넘긴 시점에서 8골, 3도움으로 공격 포인트 11점을 올렸다.

박주영은 두 번째 골을 넣은 뒤 불과 2분 뒤에 비슷한 상황이 나와 해트트릭을 기대하게 만들었지만 이번엔 네네가 직접 슛으로 골을 뽑아냈다. 네네도 이날 1골, 2도움의 맹활약을 펼쳤다.

니스는 후반 35분에 디디에 디가르의 프리킥으로 한 골을 만회했지만 승부를 뒤집지 못했다.
