The KLPGA's last tournament of the season, the ADT CAPS Championship, will decide tour's money winner, as two young golfers, Seo Hee-kyung and Ryu So-yeon are neck and neck for the title.
The tournament runs from Friday to Sunday on Jeju Island with a purse of 300 million won and a 60-million-won winner's prize.
Seo and Ryu each lead the tour with four victories, but Seo has a narrow lead on Ryu in earnings. The 23-year-old has won 603,760,000 won while the 19-year-old is 10,180,000 won behind her.
As both have played well of late, it's hard to pick a favorite entering the weekend.
Seo struggled for a period during the summer but rebounded with a second-place finish at the KLPGA Championship in September and then in October won the Hite Cup Championship and Star Tour Grand Final.
Ryu hasn't won since the High1 Resort Cup SBS Charity Ladies Open in August, but was fourth both the Hite Cup and Star Tour Grand Final and runner-up at the Korea Ladies Masters earlier this month.
"I will do my best to succeed in reaching my goal of, five wins," ADT CAPS Championship defending champion Seo said.
"I struggled last year with putting. And it is still a hard course because of its narrow fairways and fast greens," added Seo.
"My goal before the season was winning five times," said Ryu. "I have four wins now, so I am proud by myself."
"I have done pretty well until now but I want to achieve my goal at the last event," added Ryu.
A total of 62 professionals and two amateurs will tee off on Friday.
