Lee Keun-ho of Jubilo Iwata in the J-League scored twice on his debut on Sunday, lifting his team to a 3-0 victory over Shimizu S-Pulse. It was Jubilo's first win in the season.
After leaving Daegu FC of the K-League, the South Korean international striker was linked to a number of European clubs before signing a nine-month deal on the Japanese team.
"Thanks to the assistance from Maeda and all of my team-mates, I was able to find the target," Lee, 24, was quoted as saying by Goal.com
"This is just the beginning for us. We would like to get going and keep winning so that we can improve our position in the table and hopefully move to the top."
Jubilo manager Masaaki Yanagishita enjoyed the unfamiliar taste of victory.
"I'm pleased that we have given our fans something to enjoy," he said.
"Keun-ho helped us build our game with his movement and played so well that no one would think that it was his first game with the club.
"As a team, it is important to build on this result."
