The Samsung Thunders beat the LG Sakers 74-63 in the second leg of the Korean Basketball League (KBL) playoffs in Seoul, Sunday.
Winning the first two games of the best-of-the five series at home, the Seoul-based team is now one victory away from a second round berth.
The Thunders won Game 1 90-82, March 27.
Thunders forward Lee Kyu-sup and center Terrence Leather of the United States, who each scored 20 points, led the two-time KBL champions past the Sakers. Lee also dropped 23 in the opening game.
For the Sakers, two American imports Ivan Johnson and Brandon Crump combined for 35 points ― 18 and 17, respectively ― but their Korean teammates failed to support them.
Particularly, the Sakers, based-in Changwon, struggled in shooting beyond the arc, hitting just two of 17.
The Sakers, whose best achievement was runner-up in the 2000-01 season, will host the Thunders, March 31.
