President Lee Myung-bak sent a congratulatory message to Kim Yu-na after she won the women's singles at the World Figure Skating Championships in Los Angeles, Sunday.
``I watched the touching moment of your winning the competition with the best record," President Lee told 18-year-old Kim in a telephone conversation. ``You showed great courage and hope to many people during this difficult time."
President Lee also told her he hopes she has a great performance at the gala show and a safe return home.
