FC Seoul head coach Senol Gunes believes his team will be the one to claim a place in the K-League playoff final against Suwon Bluewings ― but the Ulsan Tigers may have other ideas.
The former Turkey national team manager claimed that not only will his team claim a victory, but they will do it in style when the two meet in the semifinals at Seoul's Sangam World Cup Stadium Sunday.
The Ulsan Tigers, though, are looking to cause an upset and add to their two K-League titles, the last of which was secured in 2005.
FC Seoul is looking to win its first championship under its present guise, and Gunes reckons his players will have the chance to get their hands around the trophy after defeating Ulsan.
``The only one thing I want is that all the lads put in their best display to make our fans happy. As we Seoul have already been performing exciting football at home just like the last match with Seongnam in recent, surely we will not only seal a victory, we will also deliver a plenty of joys to our fans," he said.
Gunes admitted Ulsan will be tough opponents, but still thinks his side will get through.
``Ulsan Tigers has very a strong defense. (But) we will get out of their defense and make goals," he added.
A modest Kim Jung-nam believes his team must be wary of FC Seoul's star striker Dejan Damjanovic.
``Dejan is a very noticeable forward. We should watch his every movement," he said.
In previous meetings this season, the two teams have drawn both times they've met. Last season, Ulsan had the upper hand, with a win and a draw.
