Lions Win 14-Inning Playoff Game

The Samsung Lions scored three runs in the top of the 14th inning and hung on to beat the Doosan Bears 7-4 in Game 2 of the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO)'s second-round playoff series Friday night at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul.

With the win, the Lions evened the best-of-seven series 1-1 as the teams prepare to play the third game Sunday in Daegu. The winner of the series will advance to face the reigning KBO champion SK Wyverns in the Korean Series later this month.

After the score was tied 4-all on Friday, Shin Myung-chul hit a triple in the 14th inning that drove in two runs and gave the Lions a 6-4 lead.

The Lions' Oh Seung-hwan pitched two innings of scoreless relief to earn the victory.
