Yomiuri Giants first baseman Lee Seung-yeop hit back-to-back-to-back homers in a 14-1 rout of the Yokohama BayStars Tuesday.
In a road game, Lee went 3-for-5 with seven RBIs and three runs on the three home runs.
Although the South Korean-born player had three long balls against the Hanshin Tigers last year, homering in the three straight at-bat is the first time since his arrival in the Japanese league in 2004.
In the third inning with runners on first and second, the left-handed batter, who batted fifth, pulled the first pitch he saw from Takumi Nasuno over the right field fence to make it 6-0.
Lee, who came in the game with two home runs this season, hit a two-run shot off right-hander Shiqeki Ushida in the fourth.
Facing Atori Ota, the pitcher of the night, in the sixth, the 32-year-old slugger, who produced 115 big flies until last season, sent the first pitch into the center field seats for his No. 5 of the season.
The native of Daegu had a shot at homering in the fourth straight at bat, the league record set by legend Sadaharu Oh, but flied out to right field in the final inning.
Since his return to the first-tier team Sunday, Lee has had four home runs in the past three games.
Meanwhile, Chunichi Dragons outfielder Lee Byung-kyu had his 13th homer of the season against the Hanshin Tigers.
