The Coast Guard on Tuesday mobilized more patrol ships and helicopters to search for a leisure boat with three people on board, three days after the boat went missing in the sea off the southeastern county of Uljin.

The 0.6-ton boat was lost in seas near Uljin's Jiksan Port, about 230 kilometers from Seoul, late Sunday.

Coast Guard officials said they used 16 patrol ships, six private rescue ships and four helicopters to search for the missing.

They are also working in tandem with local police officers to search the beach area, but there has been no progress in the search so far, officials said. (Yonhap)
