Yoon hosts lunch for Paralympic athletes

President Yoon Suk Yeol hosted a lunch Friday for South Korean athletes who competed in the Paris Paralympic Games, giving them each a medal of gratitude on behalf of the nation.
Yoon presented "People's Thank You Medals" to all 83 athletes and 38 coaches who participated in the Games during the event held at the former presidential complex Cheong Wa Dae.
"The message from all the athletes participating in this Paralympics is clear. The challenge of never giving up is a great achievement in itself," Yoon said in his opening remarks.
Team Korea won six gold medals, 10 silver medals and 14 bronze medals at the Paris Paralympic Games, ending up in 22nd place. (Yonhap)
