
Foreign participants write calligraphy in Hangeul during the 14th Gwanghwamun Square Calligraphy Contest in Seoul, Monday. The annual contest, hosted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, is held every Hangeul Day to provide an opportunity for the participants to discover the excellent qualities of Hangeul, the Korean alphabet, which was invented by King Sejong of the Joseon Dynasty (1392-1910).
