A minor 2.1-magnitude earthquake hit Goseong, South Gyeongsang Province, early Tuesday.
It happened at 5:45 a.m., with the epicenter estimated at four kilometers northwest of the town and six kilometers underground, according to the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA).
“Only sensitive people could feel the tremors,” a KMA official said, adding there were no reports of casualties or property damage.
A 2.7-magnitude earthquake jolted the region on July 9, 2003.
Tuesday's quake comes after a 2.7-magnitude earthquake struck 58 kilometers northeast of the coastal city of Uljin, North Gyeongsang Province, on July 25.
