Asiana Airlines will use state-of-the-art Airbus A350 jets to connect Incheon to Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seattle starting March 31.

The airline says compared to its previous aircraft, the A350 is more spacious, fuel-efficient and environment-friendly, and has enhanced in-flight lighting, humidity and pressure systems.

“The new aircraft will be the first in the country to provide internet, cell phone and roaming services for a slight fee,” the airline said in a statement. “In addition, the Economy Smartium seats have more leg room, providing for a more spacious and comfortable flight. This will maximize comfort for passengers traveling to the U.S. western cities.”

There are numerous promotional events scheduled to commemorate the A350 flight launch. People can visit the airline's homepage and watch three short videos about the three U.S. cities and then take a short quiz provided online.

All participants will be put into a lottery for a chance to win round-trip tickets to the U.S., coffee coupons and other prizes. In addition, the airline will sell discounted round-trip flight tickets to selected cities.

“We are pleased to provide a pleasant flight experience to passengers via the A350 aircraft,” an official from the airline said. “We will work endlessly to enhance our customer satisfaction and to provide differentiated services from our competitors.”

In 2017, Asiana Airlines brought in its first A350 jet and currently operates six. In addition, the carrier is scheduled to bring in 30 more in stages by 2025.
